Guess the place
CAN YOU GUESS THE PLACE?
Stare at this photo long enough and the road seems to move with you.
Taken on July 19, this is view driving through the A______ Desert in Peru’s Andes, the driest non-polar desert in the world with wind and sand that can strip the paint from cars.
Too much for you? Time to turn on some Jimmy Buffet and dream of blue waters and sailing away!
The name of the desert is __________

How to help your blog QUALIFY for adsense
Turn your passion into profit.
Eligibility
Eligibility to participate in AdSense
While we can't say whether your site would be eligible without fully reviewing your application, there are a few things you can check before applying to see if your site would be a good fit with AdSense.
- Do you have a website?
You'll need one in order to participate. Read our tips for creating great content so you'll attract users and advertisers to your site. - Are you at least 18 years old?
As noted in our Terms and Conditions, we can only accept applications from applicants who are over 18. - Does your site comply with our program policies?
Check that your site complies with our policies before submitting your application. Keep in mind that we may change our policies at any time, and per our Terms and Conditions, it's your responsibility to keep up-to-date with them. - Has your site been active for at least six months?
In some locations, including China and India, we require your site to have been active for at least six months before it will be considered. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers.
When you're ready, please submit an application. We'll review your application and get back to you by email within about a week.
Eligibility for hosted accounts
AdSense works with products such as Blogger and YouTube to allow you to create host partner accounts. To be eligible for a hosted AdSense account via Blogger or YouTube, you must first meet certain eligibility requirements. As soon as your blog or channel becomes eligible for monetization via AdSense, you can apply for a new AdSense account and link these products.
Please apply for your new AdSense account via your Blogger or YouTube account. Note that you won't be able to apply via the regular AdSense application process. For more information, see: sign up for AdSense via YouTube or make money with your blog.
If you signed up for AdSense through a host partner and you’d like to show ads on your own non-host partner website, then you’ll need to submit a one-time application form.
Fix mixed content on your blog
If you turn on HTTPS for your blog, you may have to change your blog content to make sure it works with HTTPS.
Mixed Content errors occur when a webpage downloads its initial HTML content securely over HTTPS, but then loads the follow-up content (such as images, videos, stylesheets, scripts) over insecure HTTP. These browser errors will degrade both HTTPS security and the user experience of your blog.
Mixed content can be caused by HTML markup or JavaScript content in:
- Template source
- Post and page source
- Gadget source
Check your blog for mixed content errors
Use the latest version of Chrome.
- (optional) Remove all non-Google gadgets from your blog.
- On your browser, visit your blog using HTTPS.
- At the top of your browser, click View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
- Look for mixed content errors:
- “Mixed Content: The page at '
https://<your-blog>.blogspot.com/
' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://<some-url>/script.js
'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.” - “Mixed Content: The page at '
https://<your-blog>.blogspot.com/
' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://<some-url>/image.jpg
'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.”
- “Mixed Content: The page at '
- Make a list of the blog address you are viewing, and any insecure URLs listed in the error messages.
- (optional) Re-add gadgets one at a time to your blog. Repeat steps 2–5, and note any new mixed content errors.
Make sure to visit each page of your blog separately. Errors will show only for the page being viewed, not the blog as a whole. Make note of the errors you see, as well as whether the same problem URLs appear in errors for multiple blog pages.
Fix mixed content errors on your blog
If there are still errors, these may be caused by one of the gadgets on your blog. Remove your non-Google gadgets, check your blog for mixed content, and re-add each gadget, to determine which gadget contains the mixed content.
To fix mixed content caused by gadgets:
- Check the gadget markup or source, if that is available.
- Remove the gadget from your blog.
Avoid mixed content errors in the Blogger post editor
You can find mixed content in your posts and pages with the Blogger HTML editor:
- Turn on HTTPS for your blog.
- Open the Blogger editor by creating a new post or page or editing an existing post or page.
- Tap or click Edit.
- In the top left, tap or click HTML.
- Make the changes you want to make.
- In the top right, tap or click Publish or Save. If the content has any errors, you’ll see them in the editor screen and the post or page won’t be saved yet.
- To address errors, tap or click:
- Fix: This will fix the errors identified by the editor and save the post.
- Dismiss: Dismiss will ignore the errors for this session.
Note: Dismissing errors will let you save your post or page as it is. Refreshing the page will show the errors again.

I also want you to send me text messages IMMEDIATELY ... any student who sends me a text message before SUNDAY 5 p.m. will receive a prize on MONDAY. I have lots of prizes.
You are invited to a TEXT and EMAIL PARTY. For each text message, you receive 10 points up to 5 messages. Each text message needs to include a question and an answer.
Here are SIX questions. You can choose from the list.
1. What is an important video that you have watched in the past two years? What videos in your country need more attention? Example: “Entrepreneurs can save the world” tinyURL.com/sunsteve1
2. What is an important city in your country? Not the capital. Can you recommend a video from YouTube about that city?
3. What city do you want to visit in the USA?
4. What do you want to do when you are here in Florida? (Maybe my students can answer your question and they can give you some advice)
5. What music do you want to learn about?
6. What is your favorite music right now? Send us the lyrics and then explain what happens in the song and why it is such a good song.
Answer these questions:
Who is singing?
Who is the singer singing to? (the audience)
What happens in the song?
Why is the singer singing? Why was this song written? What is the purpose of the song?
Why is this an important song? What happens in you when you hear this song?
What will happen later in the song, after the song ends?
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE: tiny.cc/storysong tinyurl.com/sunbrandi
"The Story" by Brandi Carlisle… “Every line across my face tells you the story of who I am..."
Who is singing? answer: a sad woman who has been hurt by many people.
Who is the singer singing to? (the audience) Answer: she is singing to her future lover. She explains that she has wrinkles for a reason.
What happens in the song? Answer: She tells about how she got the lines and how other people don't know her. They judge her for her appearance. "BUT YOU, (the person she is singing to), YOU KNOW ME BETTER."
Why is the singer singing? Why was this song written? What is the purpose of the song? Answer: She is singing for joy. She becomes happier by the end of the song. She is inspired by her own words. She wrote the song to express her joy and to thank her future lover for being there and for understanding her. IT IS A GREAT SONG for people who are sad.
Why is this an important song? What happens in you when you hear this song?
What will happen later in the song, after the song ends? Answer: I think the singer will marry the other person. They have such a strong connection. She will wake up in the morning and they will embrace and face the world's problems together.
So, do you see? THIS IS A BIG PIECE OF HOMEWORK or you can write this now. You can send your answer from a computer or from your phone. PRIZES for students who send answers and questions.
YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY send me an email message. ManyPosters@gmail.com
